I dreamed this, once,

I followed moonlight, beacon white

And found myself in hidden land

A place of ancient magic.

I had not seen a place as such,

And yet my feet knew well its soil

I had no doubt, as moonlight shone

I’d found my home; my one true home.

The full moon watched as I walked in, deep

Into a forest of tangled ivy and ancient trees

The runes that once all knowledge held

I knew I’d seen their symmetry.

I touched the walls of temples lost

And felt the scent of ancient moss

The light of moon that led my way

Breathing with me, it was everywhere...

And as I held on to this land of old

I knew I’d leave my one true home

For in wind caresses, whispered the moon,

“It’s time to go, I shall leave soon.”
