To be as the Wind

I want to be as the wind that runs among the leaves

That makes them sing, and dance, and take flight

The wind that is free, and wild…

And eternal

I want to be as the breeze that breathes life into the forest

That swirls among the trees, and the grass,

and the fallen leaves… Unseen, and alive

And eternal

I want to be out of this room

Twirling like the leaves, picking up my speed

Like the wind that is alive, and wild,

And free…

Unbound to any rules, but my own;

Obeying only my own needs

The thirst to be free, unknown

What a gift would that be…

To be free, unbound, and myself;

To be wild, and alive…

And eternal.
